  • Kyle Bushre

    lead pastor

    Kyle began working with a dedicated team to plant Doxa Church in May 2015. God has developed the Doxa community in amazing ways. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, feel free to contact him at kbushre@doxadetroit.org. He’ll be glad to buy you a cup of coffee and tell you all about it. Kyle holds degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary (D.Min.), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div. Th.M.), and Cornerstone University (B.S.) Kyle and Rachel have been married 17 years and have two great kids, Samuel and Alethea.

    Larry met his wife Martha through a Christian group at MSU. They have two married daughters and three grandchildren. Larry has worked as a mechanical engineer/manager for 40 years and is now semi-retired. Larry enjoys studying the Bible and teaching.

    Christine is grateful to be part of the Doxa Church family, and enjoys assisting Pastor Kyle. She grew up in Troy and moved to Rochester Hills with husband Kevin in 1992. Before marrying, she spent six years as an Illustrator and exhibit designer for the US Army, and has illustrated children’s books and periodicals since 2000. Recently, Christine designed and managed Rochester College’s year-long Community Mural Project, installed June 2017, bringing the local community together to complete the first poly-tab mural in the state. She enjoys knowing God, making a home for her family, time in nature, bicycling the Clinton River Trail, and the incredible privilege of co-parenting five unique and wonderful children.

    Born and raised in southern California, Judi has truly enjoyed Michigan's changing seasons for the past 27 years. Judi is married to Bill, with two children, a brand new son- in-law and a soon-to-be daughter-in-law.  Trusting Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 7, Judi understands the importance of teaching children God's Word. She works with dedicated teachers and helpers to facilitate Doxa's Children's Ministry in helping parents and guardians to disciple their children.

    Mark serves as the webmaster at Doxa. He grew up in a northwest suburb of Chicago and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois. Mark moved to the Detroit area in 1994 to work as an automotive engineer. He enjoys the great Bible-based teaching and fellowship at Doxa, plus the service opportunities that this church provides to glorify Christ. Mark has been married to Eunyi for 23 years and has two daughters, Claire and Holly.
